How to Set Up a Sprint Board

A sprint board works best when it reflects how your team actually ships work. Start with a few clear stages such as backlog, in progress, review, and done. Keep the board simple enough that everyone can understand it at a glance.

Next, add owners and due dates so tasks do not drift. If your team uses Slack or GitHub, connect those tools so updates stay close to the work. That reduces the need for extra check-ins and keeps the board current.

Review the board at the same time each sprint. Move blocked items forward with context, not just status labels. A short review habit helps the team spot bottlenecks early and plan the next sprint with better focus.
